Nasal Pillow masks will come with all sized cushions
An essential part of CPAP therapy is making sure your mask fits correctly. This will mean there are no air leaks and the mask is comfortable for you to ensure continued use. The ideal size for your mask is determined by factors such as your facial structure and preferred mask style.
During the current COVID-19 pandemic, we are unable to offer mask trials. However, it’s easy to find the right mask size for you from the comfort of your own home. Here’s how to get started:
We have templates for most of our available mask types to make it easy to measure at home. Follow the instructions for each mask to print the template and measure to find your correct size. Generally, mask sizes are consistent between different models by the same manufacturer.
Full face mask guide
A rigid measuring tool is best when taking measurements for your mask, e.g. a ruler. Measure the distance from the height of the bridge of your nose to the indent on your chin (just below your bottom lip). It can be beneficial to have someone help you. Take this measurement to the size range guide of the full face mask you are looking at purchasing, and select the mask size within this range.
Nasal mask guide
To determine your size of nasal mask, use a rigid measuring tool (such as a ruler) to measure the width of your nose from the two widest points. You will measure from the outside of your nose on the left, to the outside of your nose on the right. Again, it’s beneficial to have someone help you. This will give you the measurement to match against the sizing chart for the given nasal mask you are choosing. Some size guides will also ask for the measurement from the top to bottom of your nose.
Nasal pillow mask guide
Our nasal pillow masks come with all sized cushions, so you can select the size that best fits you when it arrives.
If you find your mask is suddenly leaking air or is not comfortable, make adjustments to the headgear. If your mask is too tight, you may wake up feeling uncomfortable. Leaking air can be a sign of incorrect adjustment, so see if you notice any difference after readjusting the headgear.
If your mask has never felt quite right or leaks air no matter how you adjust it, it’s possible you have the wrong mask type or size.
